A look back at my finished knits from this year: Odessa #1, Belmondo Shawl, Warshrag, Christmas ornament, Citron, two different shots of my Holden Shawlette, Odessa #2, and Cedar Leaf Shawlette.
My knitting took a huge step forward in 2010. I started designing. The Holden Shawlette took up the great majority of the summer months as I worked on it as I took Stefanie Japel's Design Your Own Shawl class. The design has been very well received, and I'm just thrilled with its reception.
The works in progress: Selbu Modern, Angee Socks, Maia Shoulderette, Snapdragon Tam, and (drumroll, please) Cala Shawl.
I have finished the first Angee sock and have made tremendous progress on Maia and the Snapdragon Tam. If I could find the remaining skein of yarn, I'd be able to finish the Snapdragon within a few hours.
The Cala Shawl is my next design. The knitting is finished, and the pattern is 95% finished. It needs a good blocking and a few pretty pictures, then it will be ready for test knitting.
Knit-wise, 2010 was a sucessful year for me. I have some ideas for 2011, but I'll save that for the obligatory knitting resolutions post.
