I finally joined Project Spectrum. When Lolly first came up with her idea for Project Spectrum, I thought it was so creative and inspiring. But not for me. I knit. That’s about it. I don’t do much else that’s crafty so trying to fit my knitting to fit in with the color of the month didn’t strike me as something that I would enjoy. However…I’ve found myself looking at different objects in my everyday life differently. Because of Project Spectrum. So since I’m thinking about it all the time, I gave in.
I’m not going to knit anything special to fit with the color of the month. This month is Orange and Yellow. Ya’ll know how I feel about orange, right?
But, I do cook quite a bit. So, my goal is to make something, a dessert, a main dish, a whole meal (yeah, right), that fits with Project Spectrum. I already have multiple ideas for this month. Now, all I need is groceries.
In honor of PS, I went around the house, inside and out, taking pictures that fit into this month’s colors. Today, the outside.
Tomorrow, the inside of the house. You won’t believe the amount of orange inside this house.
Before I forget, I kept the heel flap of the feather & fan socks the same as the pattern states. I was much too lazy to rip it out and do over. And I didn’t bring the socks to the RE’s office. Just cause I didn’t know what to expect. If we have to do this over again in a few weeks, I will definitely take socks to knit. Reading an article about Kelly Clarkson is not how I want to spend my time.
