On Saturday afternoon, we went shopping. This isn’t such a big deal, but my loverly, sweet DH went to 2 yarn stores with me and patiently held my list of yarn that I was looking for and carried yarn in his arms so that I could pick up and feel more yarn. Pictures of the additions to my stash will come later. I still haven’t taken pictures of it yet. I was proud of myself. I only strayed from my list twice, but I have definite ideas of what I’m using the yarn for (socks!).
After the shopping was finished, we drove down to the B & B that we were staying at for the night. We stayed in Burlington, Kentucky, which is about 20 minutes south of Cincinnati. We stayed at the Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast. It was phenomenal! We stayed in a renovated cabin that was bought from the Cinci airport and transported piece by piece back to this property.
Here is a shot of the bedroom.
When you arrive you get fresh baked cookies. Ours were still soft and gooey. Yum!
We had a downstairs area that had recliners and a small sofa. I got quite a bit of knitting done on the back of Klaralund lounging in the recliner.
Breakfast on Sunday morning was sooo good. We had fresh fruit, toast, sausage, and a scrumptious tomato and mushroom quiche. I, of course, picked out the tomatoes but it was delicious all the same. Sunday afternoon we went to the Reds-Pirates game, and we actually got to see the Reds win a game. It was a good mini-vacation even though we were never more than an hour from our house.
