Football Season = Knitting Season
Football officially starts tonight. La la la!!! Now while you may think that the start of football season signals the start of autumn-y goodness (true), this year my fall projects are all football inspired.
First up, Doug’s Who Dey Socks.
Simple. 2×2 ribbing for 1 inch at cuff, the rest stockinette. Knit with Opal Rainforest Tiger.
This is the flag flying outside our house.
I bought 8 skeins of Peace Fleece Worsted from KnitPixie (which, by the way, a nice 10% discount for the first order and super fast shipping). It’s intended for the Cabled Shrug from IK Fall 2005. I saw that pattern and thought "Perfect for a football game." The color?
Duh.
Only 10 more minutes til kickoff of the Marshall v. William & Mary game. Must. Find. Broadcast.
If you want to check out the Marshall football story, check out this web page. The greatest sports story very rarely told. Please read it, but remember it’s a few years old. (The 1999 team that was playing in the story? Finished undefeated and ranked 10th in the nation. ) Be a fan.
Also Bought
Lorna’s Laces Shepard Sock in Tuscany colorway. I had a really hard time deciding which colorway to buy. I now have a scarily growing sock yarn stash. And with the LYS carrying Lorna’s Laces now, I’m sure to buy more.
Tomorrow
A very special kitty post. Lookin’ for some kitty lovins? Look here tomorrow.
Go Herd!

Okay I officially feel your pain about the backpack…I was calmly knitting my scarf you know the only thing I know how to do is just one simple stitch…well I though that I was an expert or something cause I was knitting during class…yes nursing class…they said to bring something relaxing…so here I am knitting and listening to my teacher when I dropped a stitch..I thought no big deal I can fix it..oh no..was I wrong…I ended up throwing my 12in scarf across the table…
In the end I had to frog it and start all over yes my friend all over…it is now one inch and sitting in the corner laughing at me cause I now have no time to work on it!!
