This week I've done a lot of scheduling appointments. The next six weeks are scheduled to the hilt. Tomorrow, we're going to breakfast with Doug's former boss. Next week Juliana is scheduled to get her two month shots. We put off her shots for a few weeks because she was sniffly and coughing at her two month check up last weekend. The following Saturday (3/21), Liam has an appointment with Dr. Sally Shott. I was surprised as hell that 1) they had a Saturday appointment 2) at the location we want and 3) within 2 weeks. I heard that getting an appointment with her can be a nightmare. We lucked out there. Liam isn't having any ear, nose, or throat problems (that's what she is, an ENT), but we feel that it's time for him to go in and get an evaluation from her just in case any future problems arise. I think the parents of kids with Down syndrome know who Dr. Shott is, but for anybody who doesn't, she is the ENT expert for children with Down syndrome. I don't hesitate to say that she is probably the best in the country. Hence the surprise at the ease of getting an appointment.
The last weekend in March, my sister, Tracy, and her husband and kid are coming for a three day weekend. That Saturday we're going up to Jeffersonville to do some outlet shopping and to buy Easter outfits for the kids.
The first Saturday in April is Juliana's three month check up. Liam has an appointment at the Thomas Center for Down Syndrome the first Tuesday in April. That weekend is Easter, and we're traveling to South Point.
The new Music Together session starts March 27th, and we're doing that again. Throw in therapy and Early Intervention, and we are busy, busy bees.
As Liam would say "bzzzzzz".

Last week when I was writing about Dr. Shott on my blog since she is presenting at our July Research & Awareness Conference, I discovered that Dr. Shott also participated in the making of the new DVD called Down Syndrome-The First 18 months.
I haven’t watched this DVD yet, but I am looking forward to seeing it.
