The past week has been a busy one. I spent most of my time working on reformatting my patterns and created a new pattern layout. It's not too different from what I previously had, but I do like it a little bit more. I purchased a new laptop just for the design business and have been busy transferring files from the old computer (not so affectionately called Mr. Slow & Crashy*) to this new one. I purchased new charting software and have been learning the ins and out of it.
I finished a pattern proposal this morning and sent it off. I have another pattern proposal to write and a swatch to block. I have a few more patterns to reformat and update. I also have quite a few patterns to put up for sale on Craftsy.
I did finish knitting the first design of 2013. I still need to block it and write the pattern, but how about a sneak peek?
Those long rows to make that ruffle were worth it.
*I'm still working on Mr. Slow & Crashy. I have yet to receive MS Office from the company I bought the laptop from so I have no way to work on patterns on the new computer. My workaround is pretty ridiculous and is getting old. Once I have Office on this new computer, Mr. Slow & Crashy will become a computer for the kids to use. He's still good for that.
