I think my first ever finished object was a Clapotis back in 2004. Sadly, that Clapotis died a horrible death at the hands of my car and a pair of scissors. I had the Clapotis in the back seat of the car, it fell in the floor, got caught on the rails underneath the driver's seat that the seat slides on to adjust how far forward or back you are, and got stuck. Clapotis had to be cut out of the car.
Let's remember that Clapotis now.
I cast on for the most recent Clapotis right after the Summer Olympics were over. My Olympic knitting project (more later) was Fair Isle on size 0 needles so I needed an easy, mindless project. I knit on it off and on over the next couple of months and finished it up in my frenzied knitting right before Juliana was born. My nesting took the form of knitting.
That's a pretty true representation of the colors.
