The first clue for Secret of the Stole was released sometime early this morning. There are 2 charts. I had some questions about the instructions and the chart. I thought I’d post my questions and the answers in case anyone else is wondering.
1) Is the chart with the numbers on the right of the chart the right point (this will make sense if you read the instructions)? Yes.
2) Is the chart with the numbers on the left of the chart the left point? Yes.
3) When the two points join on row 51, is the shaded (peach) box on the chart the center stitch of the row? Yes. Knit the shaded stitch once even though it appears on both charts. From row 51 up through the rest of the chart, combine the two charts into one long row. You are no longer knitting two separate pieces.
Other tips I’ve learned:
1) The first six WS rows are knit (garter stitch).
2) After row six, the WS rows are k3, purl to last 3 sts, k3 for a 3 stitch garter border. The reason the first six rows are not done this way is because there aren’t enough stitches to do a garter stitch border.
3) You can knit the two points separately. Knit the left point to row 50. Knit the right point to row 50. Join the two points together at row 51.
I plan on starting tonight after Doug gets home. I need to wind my yarn into balls. I will take pictures as I go including my totally improvised ghetto beading method (that only works in my head right now).

I am glad you posted it. I printed out the first hint today and thought EEK!! I’m going to try and cast on tonight.
