I am terrible when it comes to blogging when I'm pregnant. Terrible. I have no idea why. I am on Ravelry a lot and on Facebook so if you want more updates, find me there.
Anyway, here's where things stand. I'm 37 weeks pregnant today. I've been having lots of Braxton-Hicks contractions now for the past week. Nothing is productive since I'm barely (doc said fingertip) dilated. Miss Baby J is probably over 7 pounds now. Two weeks ago the ultrasound measured her at 6 lbs, 14 oz. Notice that J up there. Yep, she has a name. And to my family, her middle name is not Maize. I have spelled it out for each one of you. Not Maize, I repeat not Maize. Hell, let me write it out for you. M-A-E-V-E. Maeve. For those of you not in the family, you'll just have to wait for the first name.
Let's see. Liam turned two this past Tuesday.
We did a small party at home for him. Just the three of us. I made cupcakes, and he opened some gifts. He continues to be amazing. He's not walking yet; I think that's still several months away, but he's had a massive word explosion lately. When you ask him if he's going to have a little sister, he points to himself and says "brubber". He'll sing "row row" when we sing "Row Row Row Your Boat". He says "daddy" and "mawmaw" (grandma for those of you not from the south), but ask him to say "mommy" and he says "no". We hear a lot of "no". When he knows he's misbehaving, he shakes his head and says " no no no" and goes ahead and does it anyway. Stinker.
As for knitting, I'm knitting yet another Clapotis. I'm using Malabrigo Worsted in the Violetas colorway. I finished a gift that I can't show yet. I've ripped out a baby hat several times because I just don't like the way the fabric looks. No pictures. I'll try really, really hard to get some knitting pictures taken. Oooh, I do have some swap pictures to take as well. I promise, I'll try.

They definitely know what “no” means ๐ My first, you could tell her “no”, she’d never do it again. The second, however, “no” was an invitation.
He is a cutie! Wishing you a very easy labor.

That little guy is talking up a storm, eh? THat is SO cool!
Maeve was going to be Georgia’s middle name, but I allowed Alex to change it to Maeby (which is actually how Maeve is pronounced in Gaelic apparently).
I can’t wait to see this new baby. I bet you can’t either! ๐

Awww – Looks like Liam really enjoyed being two! Best of luck with the baby. I hope everything goes smoothly.

Yay! You’re back. I’ve been wondering if you’d had that baby yet.
37 weeks is a MOST uncomfortable time. Hope that little girl comes soon.
Liam looks so grown up in those photos…I guess that’s what a second birthday will do for you.
