We’re working to get Liam on his hands and knees for crawling. It’s not easy.
Let’s do it again.
Oops.
Once more.
Good one.
Let’s try it a different way.
One last happy face before…the lip.
It’s all downhill from here.
We’ll try again later. I don’t know why this hands and knees thing is so despised, but Liam isn’t the only one who hates it. Can someone research this please? I know lots of moms and dads who would be happy to find out why the extra chromosome seems to encode a hatred of all fours.

Even the pouty lip is adorable. Those hands and knees are no fun. Delphine boycotts them completely. It looks like he is working really hard though!!

Joey was the same way. He hated being on his hands and knees at the same time but once he figured out that he could crawl, boy, he took off and didn’t mind it at all. Now he hates standing unsupported…

OMG, the lip! How can you be so mean to that adorable boy?
Digital cameras are my favorite baby product.
My 46-chromosomer also hated all of the tummy time/pre-crawling stuff, so who knows.

Can’t stop laughing at ‘the lip.’ Sounds like it could be a horror movie. ๐
Natalie says
Eh, just let him do it his own way, in his own time. ๐
Emily never crawled on all 4s. She crawled on 3, plus a foot. It was quite funny to watch.
Sam crawled “normally” though.

‘The Lip’ how funny! Gracie was always pulling ‘The Head’…
ok, it’s been a loooong time since mine were babies but I did notice that the majority of baby boys, regardless of chromosome count, were more likely to do the (I hate calling it this) GI crawl, in that they’d be more on their elbows and dragging their legs…whereas the girl babies wouldn’t seem to hesitate at all, they’d be up on their hands and knees and taking off…. but I see Natalie’s comment…which would blow my theory completely out of the water….
Although I do understand there’s certain brain development going on with the hands and knees action…. keep at it, he’ll get it.

I would still like to know where they keep the lip when it isn’t in use. LOL James’ almost hits the floor. ๐
James didn’t like tummy time or the learning to crawl either. So it isn’t just that extra chromosome. Maybe it is a boy thing.

Oh my! Miss T has the exact look during the same activity : I don’t remember Miss G doing it but Miss T has a definate attitude during PT. I must get a photo of her. She cried so hard last week that she broke all kinds of blood vessels around her eyes. She looked like she was beat-up. Silly kiddos. I keep telling her that she will be able to do/get more places ๐ Oh and I’m not sure about 47= not liking to be on all fours, but I do think it is the stubborn chromosome ๐
