I’m so proud that I finished something in a reasonably short period of time. The French Market Bag is done. I felted it this weekend in between loads of laundry.
Before felting.
Into the hot wash with a drop of soap. I also put in the machine (after the picture was taken) some old rubber flip-flops for added agitation. The bag took one cycle and a wee bit of another one to felt to my liking.
Drying in the basement.
It just occurred to me that I have no finished picture to really show off the bag. I’m too lazy to go find the camera, take a picture, transfer it to the computer, edit the picture, and post it. So tomorrow, you get to see the actual finished product.
I’m very happy with the way the bag turned out. I finished the handles with a 3-needle bind off instead of Kitchener. I suck at Kitchener. Way worse than I suck at seaming. I could never get the stitches to look right. I know I was doing Kitchener correctly, but all the stitches were loosey goosey. That was the only change to the original pattern on Knitty. I have enough yarn left over to make some small accessory bags to go with the big bag. Cool.

I really wanted to get a package out to you by today, but your next package is coming very soon as I compile more stuff together. Best wishes!
