Dear Sweater,
Please pass along my kudos to your designer. She’s to be applauded! Her cleverness, some might call it sneakiness, is to be admired. Imagine having the creativity to call errata by another name. Extended sizes, I believe she used. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for expanding the size range of a popular sweater such as yourself, but, forgive me for asking, is it really expanding the size range when the original published version said to cast on x number of stitches but the "extended sizes" version says to cast on x+8 stitches for the same size? I would have called it a mistake, but what do I know? I just knit the patterns, not design them. Imagine my chagrin when I discovered the extended sizes. You would have found it quite amusing. Several felines were seen fleeing the vicinity. But that’s neither here nor there.
Please let your designer know how much I enjoyed ripping out the finished back of you, Sweater (Evil bitch! Oops, don’t pass that along.). My ball winder is grateful for the workout. And Sweater, please don’t take it the wrong way when I decide to work on other projects instead of you for the next couple of days. I still haven’t forgiven you for what you said to Sock #2 while you two were hanging out in the knitting bag. Just so you know, when Sock #2 misbehaved, she got a stern talking-to and was quickly whipped back into shape.
Thanks, Sweater, for your attention to this matter.
Yours,
Mindy
