I have two finished objects to show. I have been knitting a lot. I love knitting so much right now. I can’t explain it.
Here is the finished French Market Bag.
Yarn: Yarn Source Sol from Lambikins. I used one full skein and a wee part of another for the body of the bag and a great majority of the navy for the base and handles.
Pattern: French Market Bag from Knitty.com
Pattern Mods: I knit the bottom of the bag flat in garter stitch not stockinette as written. Somewhere I read that garter stitch gives a stronger fabric than stockinette after felting. I don’t know if this is true or not, but what the heck, it can’t hurt. No other mods made.
This is a very easy pattern. Mindless knitting. I knit the great majority of it while on vacation. Most of it was knit in the car.
Here is a super quick knit.
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in Black Watch colorway. I had a skein leftover from my Olympic Knitting project. I used less than half of the skein to knit the bib so I have plenty left to knit another one.
Pattern: Petal Bib from One Skein by Leigh Radford.
Pattern Mods: None.
Cute, quick project for a cute baby. I have yet to use the bib though. Something about getting a handknit project all messy bothers me just a tad. It may just be a drool bib. There’s enough drool coming from Liam right now to water the grass.

Love the bag. Looks like you can carry tons of wonderful stuff in it.
The bib is cute, but I think what the bib is around is cuter. ๐

I love them both!! I should knit up a big bag – I’m in need of one.
The bib is so cute, I know what you mean about getting it messy though. I think a drool bib is a perfect use for it!

The FMB was my very first felting project ever. Not fond of the handle placement but a fun knit.

Can’t wait to see how the bag turns out after felting. I’m currently working on a sweater for the Husband with the Yarn Source Sol. Hopefully I’ll have left overs, maybe I’ll make a bag.
