I finished and blocked the Cedar Leaf Shawlette last week sometime.
It's more like a scarf and less of a shawlette. This has everything to do with my decision to knit it with a fingering weight yarn and size 4 needles, which is smaller than the pattern specifies. I am happy with my decision though. It's really very pretty.
I also finished the second Odessa hat.
Both hats are ready to be mailed. I hope they bring a little bit of comfort to a brave little girl.
This past week I have been doing a lot of swatching. I'm taking Stefanie Japel's Design Your Own Shawl class. What I have learned in the first week of class has been astounding. I had a light bulb click on over my head early last week and since then I've been sketching and swatching. Last night, I finalized my first shawlette design. When I figured the math out and got the design to work out, I shouted out a couple of happy profanities and clapped my hands. I may have done a little dance. Right this moment, I'm sitting here taking a break from charting out the pattern. I ordered the yarn tonight for the shawlette–Malabrigo Sock.
I am completely consumed with the design process. I have a couple of other sketches and ideas ready to go once this first one is done.

I was planning on using it more as a scarf than a shawlette and have a fingering weight yarn I’ve been wanting to use for it, coincidentally! Very happy to see your results. How many yards did it take?

I love the Cedar Leaf Shawlette as more of a scarf! What a beautiful idea!
