Follow the Yellow Brick Road

July 15, 2010 By Mindy

15 Jul

I bought some fat quarters and some fabric to make the Yellow Brick Road quilt.  The baby size takes only six fat quarters, and the pattern looks so easy that even a sewing novice like myself should be able to make it.

The flower polka dot fabric is for the backing and the border.  The fat quarters make up the top.  Everything is Amy Butler.

I’ve decided to dedicate one day each week to sewing.  I think I’m going to break this pattern down into just a few steps per sewing day.  Let’s hope I can figure it out.  I really love all the pretty fabric out there.

OOh I cant wait to see how it goes. I want to make a quilt like this too but Im intimidated by the quilting and border. When you blog about it, be sure to include helpful hints! The fabric is awesome.
