One of my housewife duties is to plan meals for the week and do the shopping. As farmer's market season begins, more of our food will come from there, but for now, I'm still Krogering.
This week's dinners:
1) Cracker Pork Chops with Mushroom Gravy, Potatoes, and Corn
2) Tex Mex Cavatappi with Garlic Bread
3) Pizza night: Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Greek Pizza with chicken, spinach, and feta
4) Fish and chips with peas
I only plan for about 4 meals per week. Usually there's plenty left over for dinner the next day. Almost everything is made from scratch. I did buy premade pizza crusts because my crust making skills are not so good right now.
I don't plan breakfast meals because we typically eat the same things over and over. Today's breakfast was oatmeal with raspberries. We'll have eggs and toast this week. I'm going to make blueberry bran muffins; those go great with yogurt. We always have pancakes on Sunday mornings.
I have been doing a lot of thinking about being a stay at home mom and a housewife lately. I've got quite a few thoughts to share. I need to write them down first, otherwise I'm sure it would just be a bunch of rambling, random, incoherent mumblings.

you know what would be good? recipes. hint hint.
I make pizza dough in our bread machine. It’s supereasy. I’m not so good at stretching it out, so usually our pizzas are sort of…amorphous shapes, I guess you’d say. Definitely not round.

What a great post. The menu sounds tasty. I’m so thrilled about your local farmer’s market.
Check out my LYS’s post for Mother’s Day. It really says something beautiful about mothers – http://knittingcentral.com/blog/
Happy Mother’s Day!

we get pizza dough at Trader Joe’s. Only 99 cents and they have wheat, white, and herb. Of course….I am a spoiled lady whose husband likes to cook most our meals. But you inspire me!

I was also going to recommend Trader Joe’s for pizza dough. Where is there a farmer’s market around here?
Your menu for the week sounds wonderful. When my kids were younger and I had a full house, I did the same thing. I even went through a phase where I printed out the menus and hung them in the pantry. The kids liked to check out what was for dinner ahead of time.LOL
