I got my first Secret Pal 6 gift today. Can I just tell you how stressed out I am? How I’m getting to be a wreck? And how this was such a welcome gift?
She sent some tea (green & white), chocolate, Cascade Fixation in light purple, Manos Cotton Stria in green and pink (the colors of the blog), salt and vinegar potato chips, and Knitting Vintage Socks. I went right for the chocolate. It will be very difficult tonight to eat a normal dinner and not eat chips, chocolate, and wine.
Secret Pal, thanks so much! I really needed this today. And the small feet thing? Pretty much every day.
Weekend Knitting
I spent about 5 hours on Saturday sewing up Klaralund. I also watched Marshall lose to Virginia Tech. I need to sew one sleeve then sew the sleeves to the body and she will be finito.
On Sunday, I didn’t do much knitting, but instead gave into my desire to cook and bake. I really like to cook, but I don’t usually have the time. I don’t have the counter space, for that matter. I made a big pot of Dilly Chicken Soup.
Steamy and yummy. I also made pumpkin bread.
The husband was happy. At least until the Bengals lost.
On behalf of Typepad…
…I apologize. I guess Typepad had some issues over the past week or so and my blog was affected. Some of my older files have been lost and are not recoverable. So I’ll have to do some fixing over the next couple of weeks to bring the Archives back to normal. Secret Pal, that’s probably why you couldn’t find my 100 things again. Typepad gave me 12 months of service for free. I’m okay with that.
Yeah — I’m glad you got it! (I forgot to get delivery confirmation, and I’ve been worrying about it all weekend!) I’m also happy to be able to have made a dent in your stressful day. I hope things get better soon! I can’t wait to see the finished klaralund! Oh, you know, I wonder if I subconsciously remembered that those were the colors of the blog when I picked them out. It was more like I was looking, and I had a feeling that those colors would work for you, without really consciously knowing why!
I am soo hungry for Cape Code potato chips right now..I might need to stop by the store on the way home :). Can’t wait to get my Knitting Vintage socks! how do you like it so far
