Clapotis that is. When my yarn gets here. I ordered 3 skeins of Cherry Tree Hill Silk and Merino DK in Foxy Lady from Yarn Market. Hubba hubba! That’ll be me when I wear Clapotis.
I broke a promise. I did not buy anything from Knit Happens when I went to the meetup. I’ve decided that I’m not going back to the meetup or to shop at the store. I think the owner is just a touch snooty and that my business isn’t valued all that much. I’ve gotten that impression every time I’ve been there. So I’m choosing to take my business elsewhere. But I did get to check out the yarn I bought from Yarn Market–it’s what made me choose it. So soft. So elegant. So freakin’ expensive! It was $3 a skein cheaper from Yarn Market–still pricey, but cheaper.
More from me later. I’m going to finish eating dinner. It’s not that easy to eat spaghetti and post. I’m going to knit through Survivor and CSI. I’m still knitting away on the poncho. It got some complements last night at the meetup, which was about the only thing I enjoyed (besides the cookies) last night. Oh, well, off to knit.

My friend Julie said the same thing about Knit Happens. I’ve not been there (there is a closer store, with very reasonable prices in Bellevue, KY (Knit On!), AND with VERY friendly staff!
If I’m ever on that side of town, I will probably check the store out just because, but I doubt I’d buy anything, knowing that I can find it elsewhere for cheaper.
I’ve been to Fiber Naturell in Montgomery, and they are very nice there too. Prices are a little more expensive than Knit On!, but still reasonable.
