We visited my family over the Memorial Day weekend. The kids are always so excited to go to Grandma's house.
On Saturday, we had a family reunion with my maternal grandmother's side of the family. It was HOT so we did what normal people do. Give the kids squirt guns.
Juliana declared them to be "so squirty."
The reunion was at the Beech Fork State Park in Wayne County, West Virginia. After we ate, we went down to the marina to let the kids feed the fish.
Don't see any fish?
How about now? These fish were MONSTER FISH.
Liam liked the fish too, but the poor guy just doesn't deal with heat very well. We packed up the car and headed back to mom's house.
On Sunday, we had a family dinner and let the kids run around in the back yard with a sprinkler.
I was inside most of the time finishing up the knitting on Strawberry Moon. I blocked it on Sunday evening, and my sister and I did the photoshoot on Monday morning before my family and I headed back to Cincinnati. The pattern is headed to the tech editor later today and will be ready for you next week. I'm currently without anything on the needles. I need to remedy that. Soon.
