It’s back to the real world. Bah. Thanksgiving was nice. I spent a whole week away from work, and I needed it. I did not want to go back to work yesterday morning.
We spent the first half of last week on the farm. Last Monday was gorgeous in New York so I went out and visited all the animals. Last Monday was a great day–I had the whole farm to myself. So relaxing.
Chickens are very creepy animals. They make this noise that gets louder the closer you walk to their coop. Shudder.
The cows were very friendly. They come right up to you when you walk towards them. They probably thought I had food.
This little kitty scared the crap out of me in the barn when he jumped down from the rafters right at my feet. Little kitty was so sweet and followed us around anytime we were near the barn.
The second half of the week was spent at my MIL’s house (farm is FIL’s). We ate Thanksgiving dinner there. While it was very good, it wasn’t home (no green beans! no corn! no rolls! shrimp cocktail?) Lots and lots of pie was consumed.
Lots.
I did get some knitting done, and I did add to my pathetic stash. Updates to come when I have pictures of knitting and stash.
Go say hi to my sister Tracy at her new blog Wit Knit. Send her sock encouragement.
P.S. I really did come from New York with 5 dozen eggs. Fresh from the farm. What the hell are we going to do with 5 dozen eggs?

I hope you had fun!
