Mondays. Blechh! Who needs ’em? I sure as hell don’t. When I come to work on Monday morning, I have 3 days of work to do. No one does any work in my lab over the weekend so when I come in I have work from Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning to do. Of course, this is just how the labs operate and it’s always been this way, but I still don’t like it. It’s also crazy because I’m trying to find a replacement for me and figure out this person’s training and I’m trying to work out my new schedule with my new position. Do I have a start date yet? Of course not.

The lovely Kerry wants to see pictures of my poncho. I promise pictures this week. I have to get my film developed and scan them in (which means I have to hook the scanner up to the computer) and all that stuff. On the digital camera front, DH is giving in. We went to the new Target next to our house yesterday, and we saw some nice cameras. He was impressed with some of them. So hopefully when I find the one I want, I can get permission to buy it. I’m currently on a spending freeze since the credit card bill came in the mail this weekend. Scary!

The poncho is growing slowly but surely (I’m not the world’s fastest knitter). It’s looking pretty. The more I knit it, the more I like it. I also really like the pattern. I have cables but I don’t have to knit cables. Yay! The pattern creates a cable by using a twisted stitch. I will have to use this pattern for scarves and such. Also, the yarn (Plymouth Galway Heather) is a joy. It’s 100% virgin wool and is super soft and soothing.

The cat bed is soon to be finished. I knitted several more inches on the border last night. It’s what I’m working on tonight too. This thing has to go away soon. Soon. Or it may go away with the Rumpke (trash) man.
