The DSAGC is hosting the IMDS Conference in July. We had received an informational packet a while ago, but I didn't think much about it. Liam has garden variety Trisomy 21, not mosaic DS. I ran across some more information about the conference yesterday. It's for everyone w/ DS not just mosaic DS. I'm going to register to attend. Some of the people attending the conference: Congresswoman Cathy McMorris-Rodgers, Dr. Libby Kumin, Dr. Sally Shott, and Dr. Sindoor Desai. The topics range from speech & communication, motor skills, IEPs, transitioning to college, future planning, sexuality. Pretty much everything.
Since this conference is here (it'll only take me 15 minutes to get there since the conference is in Sharonville), I don't have to get a hotel or travel. The hotel associated with the conference is next to an indoor water park. So if anyone wants to come to this conference, there's fun for the whole family. I'd also be more than willing to meet up with people and show you some sights. Anyone think they might attend?

I wish I could afford it. Divorce sucks. Oh, wait, we couldn’t have afforded it then either! Ha ha! Have fun, I expect a full report!

I can’t wait to meet you! Please remind everyone that they can visit my blog at http://www.mosaicmoments.today.com where each day I am highlighting each presenter who will attend the conference.
Also, if you go to http://www.imdsa.org/Conference/info.htm you can see a list of all the presenters for the main conference.
We should be getting the presenter lists for the Youth Conference and Kid Konference on the site soon!
See you in July!

Huh. I didn’t know about it, but it’s only 8.5 hours away…I don’t know if that is too far or what, but I will mention it to Alex tonight. We’ve been looking for something to do, maybe we can make a whole vacation out of it.
