I’m one of those apathetic Americans.  I’ll admit it.  I don’t pay much attention to politics and what’s going on elsewhere in the world.  There aren’t really any excuses for why I don’t pay much attention to what’s going on.  Maybe it’s too depressing.  Maybe it’s because there are more important (in my life) things in my everyday world.

I read my hometown newspaper.  And I see this article.

I went to high school with him.  I cheered with his wife.  I am sad.
