Messing About

August 22, 2010 By Mindy

22 Aug

I did just a little bit of dyeing today.

The middle skein and the one on the right are special orders.  The one on the left was me messing about with a new to me laceweight base.  It's the same fiber composition as my Juliana Fingering Weight yarn: alpaca, silk, and cashmere.  So yummy.  I put the lace into a dye pot with some leftover dye from a previous dyeing session.  It's going to be a very pretty heathery plum purple.

I really like to dye yarn.  I have been bitten by the design bug.  I have wife & mom duties.  I have DSAGC things to do.  I really need to figure out a schedule that balances everything.
