Nesting Hat

February 23, 2009 By Mindy

23 Feb

Back before Juliana was born, I knit a hat.  That's not really all that special, but I knit it in about 2 days.  Again, not that big of a deal–chunky yarn, big needles, hats are fast.  What makes this hat special is the fact that my nesting instinct showed up in my knitting.  I finished the Clapotis, knit J's pink paper bag hat, and knit this hat, all in a few days time.

Pattern: Robin's Egg Blue hat
Yarn: Paton's Shetland Chunky Tweed
Needles: US 10.5
Button: Purchased at Lambikin's

Fast and easy.  I still need to sew the button on though.

And just cause it's banging around my brain right now, Guy Fieri bugs the crap out of me.  So I turned him off and turned on Anthony Bourdain.  I may be crushing on Mr. Bourdain.

Adorable hat. It was good to see you tonight. Hope that everything was well when you arrived home.

Wow! You do a great job on these types of hats. Have you ever thought of making some for the baby shower baskets that Martha gives to the new parents?
