The first sock is finished!! Last night, I finished the toe. I used a 3-needle bind off for the seam. I started the second one last night, but there’s only about 3 rows of the cuff finished. Nothing worth showing.
I have used the credit card a bit in the last few days with these 2 purchases.
The Knitter’s Handbook just for another reference. The Handy Book of Patterns, well, just cause. I don’t need a reason do I? And folk socks because I am enchanted with socks right now.
And I broke down and bought this.
That’s Silk Garden. For Klaralund. I just couldn’t resist any more. The colors are a light tan, a silvery-grey, pale green, and a purpley-grey. Very pretty. But I haven’t done a thing with it yet. It just sits in it’s bag and calls my name softly when I walk by. I pay no attention. I have a fairly easy fair isle sweater that needs me more right now.

the knitters handbook is my favorite most beloved reference of all time. what a good choice–glad to see i’m not the only one who can overlook the 70’s era illustrations and go for content!

I have not seen that Noro colorway before! Very pretty! It will make a nice spring Klaralund.
Have a great weekend!
