I started Norie by Gudrun Johnston back in September. I finished it about two weeks after I cast on. I needed a project where I didn't have to think or make any decisions about the design. After finishing it, I immediately finished one of my designs. Knitting someone else's pattern seemed to kickstart my creative process again. I'm finding that if I have a small project by another designer going, I feel more creative myself.
