December is here. It’s the month of Christmas and of birthdays. Liam turned 12 over the weekend, and Juliana will be 10 in a couple of weeks. For anyone who’s been reading here a long time, back when I was blogging over on Typepad, can you believe Liam is 12? 12? Freaking 12!?! Oh, we are very firmly entering the teenage years complete with attitudes.
Anyway…I released three patterns this month.
First up, the Vinson Cowl.
I know that people know me more for lacy shawls, but I really enjoy colorwork. Like, really, really enjoy colorwork. Vinson is a two color, stranded colorwork cowl that is worked in a worsted weight yarn. I used Quince and Co. Owl in the colors Cranberry and Bubo. This cowl works up quite quickly. Because each round is slightly different, you want to keep knitting to see the pattern develop. Before you know it, you’re finished!
The Vinson Cowl is available on Ravelry for $5.50.
The next two patterns are both collaborations with Stitch Sprouts and both appear in the newest Stitch Sprouts ebooks.
Mellifluous is a light and lacy cowl. Because it’s just a 4 round repeat, the cowl works up fast. Worked in Stitch Sprouts Yellowstone, it’s silky and elegant.
Mellifluous is available individually for $6.00 or as part of Stitch Sprouts Volume 1: Side A for $18. You get 6 patterns in the ebook; it’s a great deal! Buy the individual pattern or buy the ebook by clicking here.
The second pattern is Psithurism, which is part of the Stitch Sprouts Volume 1: Side B collection. Psithurism is worked flat in super squishy garter stitch with a lace and cable panel. It’s large enough to wear long or looped around your neck. Psithurism also has an integrated i-cord edging that is worked as you knit, keeping the edges of the cowl neat and tidy.
Like Mellifluous, Psithurism is available individually for $6 or as part of the Volume 1: Side B ebook for $18.
