I’ve just started the heel flap for the second Flame Wave sock.
It’s a crappy picture, but you get the point.
I’ve finished the left sleeve for Nina and have cast on for the left front and the back of the cardigan. This is an interestingly constructed cardigan as it’s knit all in one piece. I can mostly make sense of the construction when I read ahead in the pattern, but there’s still a little bit of blind faith in the design. All I really care about is that it has minimal seaming. Just the sleeve seams and a small collar seam.
Yeah, it’s not a picture of the full sleeve, but you’ve seen a sleeve before. It’s nothing special.
The Secret of the Stole II starts tomorrow. I’ve got my yarn picked out.
Absolutely gorgeous. Malabrigo Lace in Emerald. Mmmmmm, Malabrigo. I’m hoping to keep up a little better this time. I never finished the first SOTS. I’m in the middle of clue 4, which is less than halfway through. I’m not sure if I will finish it at all. It’s languishing right now. It’s really beautiful, but I’m not feeling it. But, Malabrigo? I’ll feel anything with Malabrigo. Take that statement anyway you want.
*Who got a progress report in school? I never did because I was a good kid and did all my homework. I was a good kid in school that is. Outside school, not so much.

I’ve been wanting to make the Flame Wave socks too – yours are looking very nice.
No seaming is a good thing – something that is worth blind faith.
And your malabrigo, I’m just a little jealous. It’s really beautiful.

Where I grew up, everyone got a progress report no matter how good or bad you were doing.
