It shouldn't be any surprise what today's picture represents.  Liam went off into the big wide world on his own today.  This was taken right before we bundled up and went off to preschool.  It's very hard to put into words what today means.  Let's just say it was a monumental day for all of us.

As for how the day went, he got out of the car and walked right into school with his backpack slung over his shoulder.  I got to peek in at him as I dropped off some of his supplies to the classroom.  He didn't see me because he was sitting in his chair waiting for story time.  I walked out of the school crying. 

When I picked him up, he was the one crying.  It was a big, overwhelming day for him, and he just broke down at the end of the morning.  He had PT and speech today along with all of the other new things so he just got to the point where he was done.  We took him out for lunch.  Pizza with a brownie and ice cream for dessert.  He was asleep in his car seat by the time we left the restaurant parking lot.  He's still out.
