How about thinking about what you're saying sometime? I think all of you would never say nigger or fag (and yes, I'm putting them out there in all their nastiness), so why say retard? It's the same fucking thing.

ha! this is the best post about this campaign i’ve read today.
my only objection to these ads is the fact that in the small print, there’s a “PLEASE, don’t use the r-word.” I guess someone thought that dropping the “please” just put it that much too far over the invisible appropriate line. but it’s not time for pleases or there wouldn’t be any point to these, right?

So is the comment, “That is so GAY”. Man, that is just so Caucasian. Just kidding. I don’t say stuff like that. Slang like this is awful. Thanks for posting the campaign.

Ugh. I hate it when people say things and don’t even realize what they’re saying. How about “He gypped you”?

Love this post. It’s amazing to me how these little bits have become such a part of our common language and are used without a thought. When I was pregnant with my first child I started paying attention to my language. Boy was I surprised at the frequency of cursing (little and big) and phrases like the ones being addressed in the post & comments. Hopefully this campaign will do the same for others.
