I know I promised pics on Wednesday, but I got a yucky cold.  I woke up Wednesday morning with a scratchy throat.  By Wednesday night, it sounded like I smoked 2 packs a day.  I just wanted to crawl into bed when I got home from work which is exactly what I did.  Luckily, it’s not been too bad and I haven’t been miserable.  I just have a cough left, which is annoying.  So there is a reason why I haven’t posted as promised. 

I did knit a bit yesterday on Clapotis.  Here is the updated picture.  I have one more increase section left before I start with the dropping.

I like knitting with this yarn (Cherry Tree Hill Silk & Merino DK).  It’s nice and soft.  My only complaint is that it occasionally has these nubby, slubby portions where the yarn is thicker than the rest of the strand.  It doesn’t show up when it’s knitted so I can live with it.

Here is the Lopi Lace scarf.  This gets worked on mostly on weekends when I have time to sit down with the book.  I don’t know why but I can’t remember the pattern in my head even though it’s really simple.

Remember the cat bed?  The one that’s going to our neighbors?  As soon as we decided to give it away we saw this downstairs.

Yep, that’s Spike fast asleep on the bed knitted for Roxie.  Little kitty buttface!  It’s still going to the neighbors.  Spike has other places he likes to sleep.
