I like wood needles. I knit with them almost exclusively. Metal needles, nope. Plastic? No thanks. I like my Crystal Palace needles. Then this happens.
See that deep ridge where that huge honkin’ splinter came from? See the huge honkin’ splinter? Once I finished that row, I got out the big tools. A nail file and buffer. I filed down around the ridge to keep anything else from catching on the yarn. I buffed it down until it was nice and smooth. I knit a few more rows, then I felt the poke of another wooden splinter. The scarf isn’t even close to finished so I don’t think I’m going to suck it up and continue on. I don’t think I have US11 circs to switch over (really? I don’t know if I have the right size circs. That would require me to go look.). I don’t think I’ll buy another pair of US11 straights. I don’t use this size very often so it’s not worth the expense. So the scarf languishes until I figure out if I have the 11 circs or not (the astute among you will note that the scarf on the needles is My So-Called Scarf).
I have more projects on the needles to post about including a never before mentioned one. I just need some pictures of it. I cast on for another project last night. No pictures of that one either. I think my knitting groove is back after it’s pregnancy-long hiatus.
In full disclosure, I should show you this.
Everyone commented on the last picture of Liam and me. I should mention that right after that picture was taken, I cut my hair. Well, I didn’t, but you know what I mean. I also had it colored back to as close to my natural color as possible. That’s what it looks like, Tracy, if you ever want to go there again. Less color maintenance and fewer inches for little hands to easily grab.
Also, note the Klaralund.

Oh I hate it when that happens. I hope that you have the 11’s in circs.
Love the picture of you and Liam. He is such a cutie! Thanks for bringing him Monday for us all to see. Of course he was on his best behavior. LOL Maybe next time I can hold him. ๐
Your hair looks great.

What a pretty picture. He looks so chubby and cute. And dang about those needles. Shoot.
