1. What is the total amount of music files on your computer? That would be zero. Zilch. Nada. Until I get a faster connection, downloading music is not an option. When I do burn a mix CD, I don’t save anything to the hard drive.
2. What was the last CD you bought? Johnny Cash–Live at San Quentin. "I shot a man in Reno. Just to watch him die". Damn.
3. What was the last song you listened to before reading this message? Since I was on my home from work, I was flipping through the stations. I seem to remember Randy Travis "Forever and Ever, Amen".
4. List 5 songs that you listen to often or mean a lot to you.
A. Amazing Grace. Sung at my wedding. Sung at my grandpa’s funeral. A song that means a lot to me and my family.
B. Prelude/You Dance by eastmountainsouth. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
C. Supernova by Liz Phair. Good times with the girls from 7th floor Tower Hall. Boys and booze. Ahh, the good old days.
D. You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive by Patty Loveless. Just for the line "You spend your time, just thinkin’ up how to get away". Sounds like the story of my hometown.
E. Country Roads by John Denver. Sometimes, when I’m really homesick, this song makes me cry.
5. To whom will you tag & why. Kerry, because I haven’t heard much from her lately.
Bonus Question: What song or album should you listen to more often or an album that you don’t have and you should? I want the 5-disc Johnny Cash collection. Has the old classics, the new stuff, and 1 disc of the church hymns I grew up with.
On the knitting front, I’m still working on the fairly easy fair isle sweater, but I’m not taking a picture of nothing but plain stockinette. Remember the poncho? I’m blocking it right now. And the 2nd sock progresses.
