We celebrated Liam's 3rd birthday with a small party.  It was just us and my mom.  Mom came up Wednesday afternoon so she could wish Liam a happy birthday and so she could watch Liam on Thursday morning. 

 

I bought an Elmo cake pan and all the frosting necessities at Michael's. 

 

 

It's not the neatest frosting job in the world, but hey, that's Elmo!  I tried to use the fancy piping bags and tips, but that was so frustrating I gave up very quickly.  I don't have many skills in the cake decorating department so I was pretty pleased that this turned out fairly decent.  Liam recognized Elmo and that's all that matters.

After eating pizza, the birthday boy's request, for dinner Liam opened his gifts.

 

The big gift of the evening was a Sesame Street Activity Center.

It was an immediate hit with Liam. 

And Juliana.  This picture cracks me up.  Hey, bub!  Whatcha doin' in there?

I did end up going back to Target and buying another bag of balls.  25 balls just don't go too far in this ball pit.

It was a good night for everyone.
