Join Socktober
Lolly has started Socktober over on her blog. I joined right up. I’m going to cast on for another pair of socks for me. I think I’m going to do a little ankle sock with some Koigu I have in my stash. I also have some Lorna’s Laces and some Mountain Colors Bearfoot in the stash so I may have to find something suitable for those. There have been some cute patterns in the past couple of issues of IK so I may check those out.
I’m working on the foot of the first of the Who Dey socks. Doug has big feet. 8.5 inches from heel to toe cleavage (the start of toe shaping). I see a lot of people use Kitchener for their toes, but I like the 3-needle bind off. I’m a Kitchener idiot so I go the simple route.
Klaralund
I didn’t get to Klaralund this weekend. I ran a lot of errands on Saturday. I got my hair cut and did some shopping. Hopefully this weekend. Continue to send happy seaming thoughts my way.
Leaf Watch
With the beginning of October, the leaves start to change. I’m going to post pictures of the leaves in my backyard (What does it mean when I type backyarn instead of yard? Is backyarn back-ordered yarn?).
I would love to see the leaves changing in your yard (I keep typing yarn!). Have I mentioned how much I love the fall time? We have apples, caramel (for apples), and apple cider in our refrigerator. I have all of my fall decorations out. Pumpkins, autumn leaves, ghosts, black cats, spiders. I’m so happy that the weather is going to start cooling down tomorrow. Yay for October! My most favorite month of the year! It has nothing to do with the fact that my birthday is this month. Nope, nothing.
