I still have no idea what day of the week it is, and if it wasn’t for me having to get Juliana to the dance studio every morning, I’d be even more confused about the schedule.
Liam is leaving for a week of sleepaway camp, and I’d be lying if I said that I’m not nervous. My husband is going with him, but still. The heat. Biting bugs. A big lake. A tent. There’s all kinds of ways for me to imagine bad things happening. There’s no cell phone service so it will be a full week without contact. He grabbed my arm today and said, “Mom, I’m going to miss you so much.” AAAAAAAAHHHHH!
- J. Crew was almost all I used to wear. I mean, I went to a private, liberal arts university in the 1990s; J. Crew was the unofficial dress code. I still have and wear their classic rollneck sweater. Sometime in the early 2000s, they changed their sizing. Sizes that once fit no longer did. My old stuff still fit just not anything that was new, and so I was forced to give them up. I read that they’re expanding their sizes this week. Hooray!
- I’ll take a roll neck sweater, please.
- I’ll take a big tub of the Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner too.
- More of this. I can’t wear their bras but I sure can wear their leggings. Support those who are doing good things.
- Garlic butter steak and potatoes was an excellent choice for dinner this week.
- Cake of the week: Speculoos brownie cake. Oh, yeah. Instead of eating cookie butter straight from the jar, make it a frosting and eat it on top of a brownie.
- Oh yeah, I released a pattern this week. Airish would be a good choice for a summer project–lots of lace worked in fingering weight yarn.
Happy Friday, y’all!
