Blog News:
I’ve decided to update the blog, Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s the easiest schedule for me to stick to regularly. No more of this posting once a week crap.
Knitting News:
The body of the fairly easy fair isle is complete. I walked around last night with it wrapped around me to try to see how it will fit. It seems to be a tad big, but that’s okay with me. I would take a big, comfy sweater rather than a tight, slutty sweater anyday. Now, I’ve just got to figure this fair isle thing out…
I’m going to a new knitting group tonight. The Northeast Cincinnati knitters. I have no idea what I’m going to knit on while there tonight. I would like something brainless so that I don’t have to worry about screwing anything up. Tackling fair isle in front of a bunch of strangers, I don’t think so. I prefer to keep the profanities to a minimum around people I’ve just met. Socks, the booga bag, or the legwarmers. I’ll let you know what I decided.
Who’s been to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival? I’m kinda interested in going. Other than the festival, what else is there to do? Could I turn it into a mini-vacation for me and DH? He only said he would go if we did something more than yarn and stuff. Boys. Sheesh.

So, how was the Tuesday night Northern KY Meet Up? I’ve been wanting to go, but have had NO time to do anything! (You saw–I’m always getting to the meetings late, and wanting to stay later! If only someone would have the 10pm-3am Meet Up–I’d so be there! ๐
As for the MD Sheep & Wool Festival, just tell the DH that he can play with the sheep…learn to shear them, and truly appreciate the animal from which a large portion of his wardrobe originates!
Or, tell him he can go play in Annapolis or Baltimore while you’re basking in knitting/crocheting/weaving heaven!
When is it, BTW? I’d love to go too…though even if it were a “vacation”, I’d probably spend too much on hotel, airfare, etc., and not have enough for yarn acquisition. My DH would be happy if we DIDN’T GO–because we wouldn’t have to plan on leaving so much empty room in the luggage for “Returning Yarn”. He scowls at LYS and Chain Store Yarn purchases. You think he’d be happy wearing all his clothes at the same time on the airplane so that I can haul 3 tons of beautifully-dyed paradise back home? NOPE! Not gonna happen. ๐ He just doesn’t understand.
*sigh* Someone needs to do a research project on the correlation between knitting/fiber enthusiasts and the “pack rat” mentality. Is there a connection/relationship? Which causes which? Would that be a positive correlation or a negative correlation? *heheheh*
Have a great week!

The Maryland Sheep & Wool festival is not too far away from DC, so you can definitely make a vacation out of it… and you can come see me!!

where did your knitting group meet? I live in West Chester and I’ve been looking for a group. By the way, I’ve been to Lambikins at the suggestion of your blog. I think it is the best yarn store in the Cincinnati area. You know they have a sale this week. Thurs – Sat.
