I missed the last two days. It's been a madhouse here. Doug has been in Winnipeg most of the week (on his way home right now), and blogging is the thing to take a hit when I'm kid-wrangling on my own.
I don't have much to say about anything, like usual. Instead, I'm going to give you these two links. Read them. They are well worth your time.
This man is local. He's a sportswriter for the Cincinnati Enquirer. He has a daughter with Down syndrome. He gets it in so many ways. Of everything he's written about his daughter and Down syndrome, I have never disagreed, never shook my head and thought, "Dude, you're wrong about that."
Expect. Don't accept.
Never say never.
These are things that I try to live by when raising this kid of mine. I think it's the key to success. I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking this way.
