Weekends
This past weekend, my youngest sister, Lindsey and her fiancee, came up for a visit.
We went to a Reds game. The Reds are pretty sucky this year. They’ve been sucky for a while now. But nothing beats sitting in the stands with a Skyline cheese coney and a Pepsi. Or a beer. I don’t drink beer, by the way. I’ve never liked it. We had a pretty good time at the game. Lindsey had never been to a MLB game before. We got to see Eric Davis and Jose Rijo inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame, which was pretty cool.
I didn’t get much knitting done while they were here. Although I did read Knit One, Kill Two which was a pretty decent read. Very light…not much thinking required.
This weekend I have a hair appointment on Saturday morning, then I intend to go to Lambikins and knit for a while on Klaralund. The last time I planned this, my stylist messed up my color and had to redo it so it took double the time and I never got the chance to get to Lambikins. I hope this doesn’t happen again. I am seeing another stylist. Speaking of hair, did anyone see Wendy’s new cut? Cute, cute, cute.
What’s going on in the garden?
The peonies are gone. The Sweet Williams have faded. But, now it’s time for lillies.
I saw this in the backyard today too.
Red shirt and blue shorts aside, my husband is pretty darn cute.
Knitting Content
I have finished the back of Klaralund and have started on one sleeve. I figured if I alternated back, sleeve, front, sleeve that it would break up the monotony of stockinette. I’ll let you know how that little theory of mine works out.
Blog Stuff
Lolly complemented the new look of the blog. I have to give credit where credit is due. Thanks to Missa at Moon Arts for the design of the banner and the template. I have absolutely no experience in this kind of stuff so it made much more sense for me to have someone else do it. I highly recommend her services. This blog is starting to look more like what I’ve been imagining. Yay!

Just browsing throught the Knitting Blogs ring…thought I’d leave a lil comment and say Go Reds (even if they lose – I’m a Cincinnati girl so I have to love them)
